LONG BEACH, Long Beach Courthouse — Case dismissed when I proved that the defendant actually owned the vehicle he was accused of vandalizing. Additionally, I obtained a declaration from the alleged “victim” stating that my client had paid all costs associated with the damage to the vehicle. The latter technique is known as a “civil compromise.”
